Our community service activities are directed towards the support of many 'self-help' groups and needy individuals within our catchment area. Fund raising events are held throughout the year to finance projects and Club members provide 'hands on' help wherever possible. What follows is simply an overview of some of the fun, exciting and interesting projects we have undertaken.

Here's the man who really did 'fix it'

Thanks Mike from all at the MS House

One of our BIG projects in the last 18 months was a major upgrade of the local Multiple Sclerosis Society community house (known as 'OUR HOME') in Heston. All members of the club participated in both fund raising and hands-on work to provide:
  • An upgrade of the kitchen facilities.
  • Clearing overgrown shrubbery.
  • Laying a patio and providing a storage shed for wheelchairs & equipment.
  • Constructing a wheelchair ramp access to the garden and lounge area.
  • Painting the front of the house.

The Mayor of the London Borough of Hounslow, Councilor Gill and the Chief Executive of the national MS Society, Mr Peter Cardy, attended the 'Open House' day on August 13th 2001.
