The Rotary Club of Heston & Isleworth

Rotary Stroke Awareness Day. 5th April 2003

Members of the Heston & Isleworth Club joined forces with with the neighbouring D1140 Hounslow Club for the Rotary Stroke Awareness Day at the Treaty Shopping Centre in Hounslow High Street.

Throughout the day, 218 people had their blood pressure measured by a team of nurses who kindly donated their time and expertise.

The event provided us with a great opportunity to increase the awareness of the relationship between high blood pressure and the risk of a stroke and also helped to raise the profile of Rotary in the area.

The local newspaper (The Hounslow Chronicle), used the headline 'PRESSURE SHOPPING' to publicise the event.
